Hello all, first post here! Where is everybody, anyway? I'm not seeing much activity around here lately. We need to start recruiting people, this comm is too brilliant to go to waste.Okay, so here's my contribution. You guys know the Dylan song, Mama You Been On My Mind? George Harrison did a cover of that at Bob's house in Woodstock, NY (either in '68 or '70) that was recorded in rather shitty quality and is now available on bootleg albums and such. Despite its poor quality, it is by far one of my favorite George songs. It's very soft and comforting and, overall, it gives me this overwhelming feeling of peace. So one day last month, right after I'd gotten some India ink from the art supply store, I was sitting on my bed with the song on repeat and started doodling, just sort of scribbling down what sort of images the song made me picture. And this is the result. Please forgive the lousy quality -- my scanner's busted and my camera's not the greatest in the world. It looks a lot better in person.
That's really really cool. Such beautiful imagery. I want you to paint that on my wall! Ahaha.
